Buried under the NBA free agency conversation, MLB talk and the winners and losers at Wimbledon is the story of the most dominant athlete no one is talking about. South Korean born Inbee Park is doing something amazing and people need to take notice.  She just won the US Women’s Open and is only the fourth woman to win three golf majors in a calendar year. Park joins Babe Didrikson Zaharias, Mickey Wright and Pat Bradley. She is on target to win four in a row at St. Andrews.  Located in Scotland the Old Course at St Andrews is one of the oldest golf courses in the world.

Recently, Park revealed what makes her happy –

“I feel the happiest when I’m at the golf course,” Park said. “And I feel calm. Outside the golf course, I feel the pressure and I feel what everybody else is feeling. But on the golf course, it’s just the golf ball and clubs.”

Its unfortunate her win isn’t the number one story everyone is talking about and it should be.  Park started playing golf at age 10 and moved to the United States at the age of 12 to pursue a golf career.  Now at the ripe old age of 24 and in total beast mode she is on her way to making herself one of the best golfer’s in the world.
